Beyond a Cute Dog Painting : Bella
She was an integral part of our family’s story; and that will always remain
“Bella, is and was my mother’s companion & fur-baby for almost 14 human years old. She enjoyed long naps, treats, belly rubs, haircuts, walks, lounging in the sun, and my mother. Bella never barked, nor did she ever growl. She was a friend to everyone who met her. She was a special dog who really saw people’s souls; and the goodness they had within their heart.
Bella would have been 14 human years old coming up on November 8th. My mother lives in a long term healthcare facility for her MS; and Bella was her everything.. everyday. After a week of eating almost nothing and being lethargic, test results showed she had an aggressive stage 4 Lymphoma Cancer. It was time for Bella to return to the heavens and the stars with others we have lost before her. Wrapped in a soft blanket, surrounded by those who loved her dearly, and with her little pink tongue partially out, Bella left this world for something better in the very early hours of October 22nd in Scottsdale, Arizona.
She is now looking down on us all with so much love and gratitude for the life she had with us. She saw babies grow into teenagers; and teenagers grow into married men. She was there for the good times, as well as a source of comfort during sad times. Most of all, we are so thankful for the life she gave us all during her short stay on this planet. We hope she absolutely knows how very loved she was and still is. She was an integral part of our family’s story; and that will always remain.”
